Traffic For Your BLOG
BLOGging traffic has always been a give and take type of relationship. Sometimes one of the best ways to get traffic to your BLOG is by visiting other related BLOGs.
Go to the related BLOG site and read one of their entries… or read a few of them to get a good feel of what the site is all about. Chances are that you are going to find something that you have in common that relates back to your BLOG site.
When you find something that you find truly interesting on a related BLOG post, leave a comment so that they know that you were there and read what they had to say. Be sure and leave your signature with a link back to your BLOG at the bottom.
Just don’t get too carried away with signatures… if it looks like advertising, you’ll get a SPAM block or your comment will be deleted.
One of the best known BLOG hosts in todays social media frenzy is LiveJournal. A great feature of LiveJournal is that you can search for interests on their site and it will come up with results of those who have that interest.
For example: are you interested in horseback riding… You can see what other bloggers are saying about horseback riding as well.
A great example of BLOGs related to Internet Marketing and Multiple Income Streams is www.SpidersMarketingWeb.info. It’s also another great source of articles such as this one.
More about comments:
When you are commenting on someone’s BLOG post, you want to make sure that you don’t leave a simple generic type comment. If you like the post, say something about what you specifically liked in the post. I liked the 7 simple steps you provided in your article is much better then just saying I liked your article about XYZ.
If their BLOG allows links in the comments… after you have commented on the person’s BLOG post, you can then finish by saying something like: ‘I really like learning about BLOG traffic methods too. I had a similar experience to yours.’ Then, insert a simple html link back to your BLOGging journal.
Just be sure that you sound sincere when you are commenting on their post or article and take extra care so you don’t make them feel like you’re just fishing for traffic.
If someone thinks that you are just using their blog to get more traffic to your BLOGs content, they won’t visit your site and your efforts will be for the most part wasted.
